Thank you all for your love and support this year at the inaugural March for Babies 2008. The day started out with rain and clouds, but by the time we crossed the finish line the sun peaked out and warmed things up. Team Ali’s Angels showed up in their bright red t-shirts this year. Ali enjoyed the walk (stroll) this year and was very happy that so many people came share a special day for all babies.

Hi! My name is Alessandra “Ali” Mijares and I was born 16 weeks early. I spent 5 months in the NICU at St. Peter's University before I was healthy enough to come home.
My family started a Family Team called "Ali's Angels" in support of March of Dimes and March for Babies to help other premature babies just like me. Their mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Those are big words for me. But miracles happen with your love and support. Will you help me and my family save other babies?
